CONSULTANT DERMATOLOGISTS


Qualifications: MBChB, MRCP(DERM)
Dr Ven Samarasinghe is a consultant dermatologist, dermatological surgeon and dermatological lead for skin cancer.
He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2002 and undertook dermatology specialist training in the Northwest of England Dermatology program.
On joining the national specialist register for Dermatology in 2012, Dr Samarasinghe completed a further one-year fellowship in Mohs’ micrographic and dermatological surgery at St John's Institute of Dermatology, London.
Dr Samarasinghe has completed multiple international scientific trials on skin cancer. He has lectured nationally and internationally on skin cancer, skin surgery and dermatology for which he has received awards. He has also published widely on skin cancer and currently sits on the national joint Dermatology-Plastic Surgery Integrated Fellowship board.
Dr Samarasinghe has special interests in skin screening; skin cancer; skin cancer surgery; general dermatology and benign skin removal.

Dr Belmo obtained her medical degree from the University of Dundee in 2006 and completed dermatology specialist training in Nottingham, 2016. Following this, she underwent an ethnic skin and hair fellowship in Paris, before settling in London.
She has presented at national and international conferences and has published in peer reviewed journals. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, the British Hair and Nail Society, and the Skin of Color Society, USA. She is the clinical lead of the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology Skin of Colour Resource in which she launched in 2016.
Dr Belmo currently holds a substantive NHS post at Croydon University Hospital, London.
Specialist interests – General dermatology, acne, rosacea, hair loss, skin of colour, eczema, psoriasis, hyperhidrosis, keloids, warts, benign skin lesions, mole checks, skin cancer, skin surgery.

Her special interests include dermoscopy, (which allows for the early detection of skin cancer), and was part of the UK team which ranked 2nd out of 51 countries in the recent world dermoscopy bowl. Her other interests include medical dermatology, vitiligo, mycology, and skin surgery. Lastly, she has published more than 50 articles with an impact factor of above 100.

Dr Ciara Haddadeen is a consultant dermatologist at Stratum Clinics, she also practises at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
She graduated from studying medicine at St George’s, University of London in 2007 and also completed an intercalated BSc in medical sciences. She completed her core medical training in London and worked at Kings College Hospital and St. George’s Hospital.
Her specialist dermatology training took place in the Wessex Deanery across Southampton General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and Poole Hospital. She spent 2 years as a dermatology clinical research fellow at the University of Southampton investigating immune responses in the skin. She has presented at national and international conferences as well as published in peer reviewed journals.
She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, European Association of Dermato-Venearologists and the British Society for Dermatological Surgery.
Her interests include mole checks, skin cancer, general adult dermatology (eczema, psoriasis, acne/rosacea etc) and skin surgery.

Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon.
President of The British Society for Dermatological Surgery
I am a Consultant Dermatologist with a special interest in the diagnosis and
management of skin cancers and very experienced in the management of all
dermatological conditions. I have performed over 4000 Mohs surgery cases
and many more standard procedures.
• I am fortunate to be one of the very few clinicians in the UK able to offer
all the currently available types of diagnostic tools and treatments for
skin cancer, ranging from dermoscopy, photodynamic therapy and
Mohs Surgery, having been involved in numerous clinical trials.
• I run the regional Mohs Micrographic Service at the Portsmouth
Dermatology Centre. One of only six centres nationally to provide
formal training in Mohs Surgery. I have chaired the Wessex Regional
group for responsible for skin cancer policy in Hampshire, Wiltshire
and Dorset for over 10 years and was previously the Chair of the British
Association of Dermatologists Skin Cancer Committee.
• I have participated in The American Society of Mohs Surgery Quality
Assurance Programme and have just been instrumental in starting a
similar UK scheme.
• After school in Wimbledon I studied Medicine at St Thomas’, where I
was selected to study for an additional BSc in Experimental Pathology.
After training in Dermatology in Leicester, Sheffield and Edinburgh, I
undertook basic research as a University Lecturer which was extended
into a project in rural Malaysia. This led to a Doctor of Medicine (MD)
degree. Subsequently I trained in Dermatological surgery and Mohs
Micrographic Surgery in the UK, Seattle, San Diego and Charleston, USA.
• As the elected President of the British Society for Dermatological
Surgery (BSDS) (2017-2021) I am responsible for coordinating
advanced dermatological surgery and Mohs training and education in
the UK. In this role I'm also responsible for national guidelines and
audits relating to skin cancer surgery.
• I work closely with British Association of Dermatologists, National
Institute of Clinical Excellence and NHS England in producing guidance
on the management of both dermatology in general and skin cancer;
Most recently chairing the national guidelines development committee
for Squamous cell Carcinoma and currently a member of the NICE
Melanoma Guidelines Development Group.

She qualified in 2002 from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Jamaica and completed the majority of her dermatology training in South Wales, UK. She achieved distinctions in Cardiff University’s diploma and masters in Clinical Dermatology and a Doctor of Medicine degree in acne, light sources and lasers. Between publishing papers and clinical letters she was a tutor for Cardiff University’s Diplomas in Clinical and Practical Dermatology and a Supervisor for doctors pursuing a Masters in Clinical Dermatology. She continues to be a reviewer for journals such as the British Journal of Dermatology and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
In addition to her strong academic and research background, her clinical expertise lies in medical dermatology for both adults and children, skin of colour, skin surgery, lasers and light sources. Her newest interest is in developing aesthetic dermatology not only as an additional tool to offer a complete service to her patients in her current practice, but also as a source of collaboration with other educators to embed this firmly in the realm of dermatology.

Dr Nisha Rishi Arujuna is a Consultant Dermatologist at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is also an Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Nisha graduated with a distinction from King’s College London School of Medicine (KCLSoM) in 2010. She has since completed her dermatology training in Sussex, at the Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. During this time, she was awarded a travel fellowship to undertake a period of study in photodermatology at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology.
Nisha was awarded the John Henry Wignall Prize in 2006 for outstanding achievement in medicine and the KCLSoM Elective Travel Award in 2009 to work at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Borneo. In 2016, Nisha won the prestigious Ashley Cooper Award given by the British Society of Dermatological Surgery for presenting the novel concept of introducing a dermatology surgery consent photo booklet.
Nisha is an active member of the British Association of Dermatologists, has presented regularly at their annual national conferences and also participates in the American Academy of Dermatologists meetings. She has authored several international publications in her specialty field in peer-reviewed journals.
Clinical Interests
Nisha’s special interest is in photodermatology and she is developing the phototherapy services and photodermatoses management locally, collaborating with the photodermatology team at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology. She performs dermatology surgery and also enjoys the management of medical dermatological cases. She has a passion for teaching and this has been corroborated by her being awarded as Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Ben Ardehali is a fully accredited consultant plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon with over 10 years of highly specialised training. He is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council.
He qualified from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School at Imperial College London in 1999 with a Distinction in Anatomy and completed his general surgical training at the Hammersmith Hospital training programme in London in 2004 to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England MRCS.
After completing his higher surgical training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in London he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of England FRCS.
His interest includes cancer reconstruction, general plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery. He has completed a fellowship in cosmetic surgery at the renowned London Clinic and has a higher degree in cosmetic surgery from the University of London. He has also undertaken a fellowship in microvascular surgery at Charing Cross Hospital in London.
His research interest is in the area of objective assessment of outcome in plastic surgery. This has led to numerous presentations both at national and international level along with publications in peer-reviewed plastic surgical literature.
He has a Masters degree in Surgical Sciences from the University of Oxford with a primary focus on patient safety and quality improvement in health care.

Ms Ding specialises in subfertility, IVF, fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovaries and uterine septum/adhesions, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders (Heavy/painful/irregular peroids) and early pregnancy problems (miscarriages).
She has extensive experience in the management of complicated fertility problems. Ms Ding is also an expert in advanced Minimal access (Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery, 3D ultrasound for the management of conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts etc.
Dr Ding graduated from Imperial College London in 1999. She underwent Specialist training at various large teaching hospitals in the UK including John Radcliff Hospital, Oxford and Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge before undertaking a research fellowship in reproductive medicine at the University of Edinburgh, followed by a sub-specialty fellowship in reproductive medicine and minimal access surgery at Liverpool Women’s hospital.
She became a consultant gynaecologist and an accredited subspecialist consultant in reproductive medicine in March 2010.
She is a recognised teacher and trainer on many nationally and internationally recognised courses, for training in Gynaecology and infertility at numerous faculties, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), British Fertility Society (BFS).
Dr Ding is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Fertility Society (BFS), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).

Having worked at different aesthetic clinics throughout her many years in the industry, including a leading Harley Street clinic, she has acquired an extensive skill-set. Her expertise spans microneedeling, skin peels, IPL skin rejuvenation, rosacea and acne management, thread veins, radiofrequency skin tightening, as well as advanced electrolysis and laser hair removal.
She is always happy to share and apply her specialist knowledge to achieve the best possible results for her patients, by developing tailored treatment plans. Larysa deeply believes in, and has seen with her own eyes, the results that are achievable through combining effective skincare with advanced skin treatments. She receives genuine satisfaction from helping her patients overcome difficult conditions, boost their confidence, and feel comfortable in their own skin.

He has been the clinical lead for the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, where he received several clinical excellence awards for his role and for working towards the establishment of a recognised multidisciplinary referral centre. He is also Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.
He will provide you with an informed, experienced and honest account of the options, risks and benefits of advanced laparoscopic surgery applied to common surgical conditions such as inguinal hernia, gallbladder stones, acid reflux, hiatal hernia, obesity and upper gastrointestinal diseases.
Mr Bonanomi currently holds professional memberships at the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS), British Medical Association (BMA), British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) and International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO). Former member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES).
His research interests have included minimally invasive surgical techniques, robotics applications in surgery and the metabolic implications of obesity.
He is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Sri is also an accomplished general surgeon with an interest in plastic surgery and supports the work of dermatologists and soft tissue tumour surgeons.
In addition to his surgical accomplishments, Sri is skilled in the use of Ultrasound imaging and has been using Ultrasound to aid in diagnosis and surgical planning since 1992.
He has a special interest in complex wound management, especially leg ulcers. His interest in complex wound care is augmented by his skills in plastic surgery. He is a member of the College of Phlebology, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Royal College of surgeons trainer for trainers and regularly trains both senior and junior doctors in managing surgical patients. He presents his work in International meetings, continuing to innovate in the field of Vascular surgery. One of his suggested new techniques for treating varicose veins has had traction internationally and he was recognised for that in a meeting of international vascular surgeons in New York.

Initial Consultation – £250
Follow Up Consultation – £200
You will be required to attend a consultation before any treatment takes place. If you are a self-funding patient, consultations must be fully paid prior to you attending your appointment. You can pay for your consultation at time of booking, either over the phone, via a secure payment link sent by email or at the clinic. Alternatively, you can give us a call at least 48 hours before your appointment to pay the balance. Please note, if your consultation fee is not paid 24 hours prior to your appointment, your booking will be cancelled.
If you are an insured patient, you will need to provide us with your insurance membership number and pre-authorisation code at the time of booking your consultation.
During your consultation with one of our consultant dermatologists, you will discuss your medical concerns and suitable treatment options will be recommended for you. The prices of these treatment options will also be fully outlined. Following on from the consultation, you will then be able to book and pay for any required treatment through reception or by giving us a call.
Cancellation Policy.
Your appointment at Stratum Dermatology Clinic Wimbledon and Raynes Park is with an expert dermatologist. Their time is valuable so we do ask you to please provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice if you would like to cancel your appointment. We will endeavour to re-book your appointment for a new time that suits you and your payment will be carried forward to this new date or a refund will be provided if you no longer wish to go ahead with your appointment.
In the event you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, a penalty of 50% of your appointment fee will become applicable. If you fail to attend your appointment and do not provide us with notice that you will not be attending, the full consultation fee will be charged.
